Here are twelve of my favourite releases on Altered States over the last nine or so years I've been doing the label. The artists hail from Poland, Finland, the US and Australia. The styles range from slamming electro (Sansibar, 2200) to ethereal abstraction (Hour House) via fried instrumental-pop vignettes (Static Cleaner Lost Reward). I am compiling this more as a reminder to myself of some of the great things I have been able to be involved with putting out there, rather than some kind of rampantly narcissistic cash grab. The label is run on a total shoestring, but yet continues to persist, in no small-part thanks to the bandcamp sales that trickle through every month. I'm gearing to do a stack of new tapes following a longer than usual period of calm shortly and I'm as excited about these new releases (several of which are debuts for artists) as those featured below.
