Dark secrets
Running time - 61:15
On the program this time, a number of older tracks, some of them considered classics within the ambient genre, plus some brand new releases for your listening pleasure. From Mexico, Rodrigo T. Fonseca is a multi-instrumentalist across many different genres who has very recently put out a fantastic collection of ambient material entitled 'Instrumental and Ambient Selection Vol. 1'. The track 'Listening the open wound of nature unable to defeat the evil' is a haunting track of blurry, ghosted pads and other ominous sounds. What a mood. Based between the UK and the US, Andrew Wood has recently released a new album called 'RadgePacketRemorse'. The piece featured in this week's show is the opening track of the album entitled 'Crime'. It contains undefined sound grabs of media and other found sounds with an unsettling, yet intriguing vibe. The album has been released via the 1.44mb label based in Philadelphia, who are a boutique label that specialise in releasing music on Floppy Disk! This edition of ambient hour went slightly over time, but any incovenience caused is certainly compensated by the fine collection of material presented. Enjoy.
