A bit late but I made a playlist of tracks from 20 albums released in 2023 that provided me with fuel, hope and catharsis. There is longing, grief and a touch of rage for good measure. Check out the full releases and support directly on bandcamp if you can.

The title is taken from the Moor Mother feature on Aho Ssan’s incredible album Rhizomes, whose words have taken on another level of potency over the past three months. They remind us how important it is to resist the temptation of despair and continue to imagine and fight for a better world.
