I've pledged to myself that I will attempt to document the funky adjacent sounds that come out this year. This can be anything from UK funky to amapiano to afro house to baile. anything I feel fits in with a funky set. Usually this will mean a lot of syncopated drums between 115 and 140bpm.

Where possible I've linked a specific, notable track, but all the projects are great as well.

when I orginally made this list I was very dissapointed in myself when i realised that I'd not found any non cis male artists.
