When I first heard Joan of Arc's He's got the Whole This Land is Your Land in his Hands I was stunned. It was the type of strong immediate excitement and curiosity that stick with you forever. Even now, 10 years later(wow!), I can still recall that feeling when I put it on. 

I don't know anything about Cahl Sel but, as I was finshing up my year-end list trawl last week his album really stuck out. Rival Console's new album really stuck out as well but I knew that. I love his music and this one deserves way more attention from me that I gave it.
