Slow start to the year, so I felt like digging out some slower builders before getting the kicks firing. Found myself digging through my early D&B and "intelligent" atmospheric records over the winter break, next month will be a feature of such. Probably why I landed on Burial to open and close.

2025 finished strong with some great music being released, notably a 2562 record made it in last minute and we witnessed the welcome return of foundational label Tempa. Second half focusses on records that came out in 2025 (dubstep / bass crossover land) so plenty of movement around 138/140 bpm.

Not forgetting the foundations through which these sounds have evolved, a few percy's here and there. Without the likes of 4hero (See Dego/Cousin Cockroach this month) and Benny Ill vs. Hatcha (Crazy intro), both 2002 releases I might add, we wouldn't be here. Flowers a plenty, such great records and precursors to what was to come.
