New music? In this economic climate? And so much of it?!? 

I'm afraid so, yes. Might have gone a little overboard today with over 30 releases, but I really had no choice - there are just too many amazing things coming out today, especially albums!

Here are some of my own favorites, but that doesn't mean the rest of the selection isn't as exciting (or maybe even better): Minced Oath aka Sunken Foal is the kind of organic, moody and lush IDM that I've always been obsessed with and the new EP is no different. Crespi Drum Syndicate, a side-project of Miami don Jonny from Space, hits all the right notes - its a groovy, dubbed-out krautrocky love affair with Latin dance music. Laurnce Pike is the kind of stuff I'd post on Sunday, but I encourage you to listen to it today, a piece for drums and choir, the kind of curveball Floating Points would play at 6am, leaving everyone slightly confused, but musically better educated. Clouds are featured twice today, once with their business as usual hard rave sound and with a new side project summoning the hazy Garage reverberations of Burial via the avant-Gabber fashionistas of Never Sleep. Also plenty for the goths in the audience: Molchat Doma have a new album, this time more synth pop than cold wave, Ultra Sunn are back with some dark synth pop as well and Thomas P. Heckmann is cranking up the heat on his signature Acid EBM. Also absolutely recommended: Kampala's Arsenal Mikebe's new album is a masterclass in rhythm and percussion.
