10 Tunes for Bandcamp Friday, March 2024
On this hallowed day, while we're temporarily freed from the grubby mitts of middlemen, I wanted to share 10 of my favorite tracks from recent digs. They're all worth a listen, but here are a few highlights:
The first on the list, "One More Night," by DJ Alone Again is actually from my own label, Fortune Signal. We decided to sneak this emotion lo-fi house homage out a couple weeks early to celebrate the day.
Toribio's remix of Operator Music Band's "As It Goes" combines all of my favorite things: nasty slurred synths, perfectly programmed percussion, trippy vocals, and lovely little noodly keys.
"Urban Sounds" from Owen Mandale is a full on rave-ready ripper. It was honestly hard to pick just one from this EP. Keep an eye on this producer... I'm expecting big things for him.
nextdimmensional's mazeworld EP is a gorgeous affair from front to back, but I'm particularly fond of "need." There's a lot happening, but she put it all together subtly without being overly flashy.
