No one can argue that it's not been a great year for electronic music releases, especially for the us, the listeners. We've been treated by stalwarts like The Black Dog, Ellen Alien, Slam, Michael Mayer, Luke Vibert, Surgeon, Legowelt, Terrence Dixon, Squarepusher and Steve Rachmad, who all delivered memorable music in 2020. The incumbent crew, including folk like Vril, Daniel Avery, Four Tet, Rebekah, Hodge, Blawan, DJ Python, Nicolas Bougaïeff and Jupiter Jax all jockeyed for prime position, while a mass of new(ish) faces vied for attention, including Julia Bondar, Adiel, Somewhen, DSG, Jump Source, OTHR, Cyan85, ascendant vierge, Etapp Kyle, Elisa Bee, Baby T, TECH LEVEL 2, Sepehr, Trackmaster Dre, Naone & S.O.N.S, Norken & Nyquist, Orphan Fairytale, TMPLT, JASSS, His Master's Voice, Tracing Xircles and Adelphi Music Factory (and probably many more I've overlooked).
