The Dwarfs of East Agouza Assembled in Cairo by free thinkers and explorers, The Dwarfs of East Agouza are a trio composed of Maurice Louca, Sam Shalabi, and Alan Bishop, three musicians with long and defiant résumés that cross over a myriad of languages, cartographies, and expressions. Born collectively in 2012 in the Agouza District, their music merges the repetitive hypnosis of krautrock, the emancipatory spirit of free jazz, pulsating beats, and the energy of Egyptian shaabi music into a perpetual motion that recognizes no boundaries, real or imagined.
