Drawn from the life
Running time - 61:07
On the program this week, we have a new track by Japanese sound artist Chei Otomi called 'exhale' taken from a compilation of ambient artists entitled 'Ephemeral & Fleeting - Modular Music of Japan' released via ato.archives. The track is a combination of synth moods...some soft, floating sequences and in other parts...sharper noises and clicks that merged together, finds resolution. Of late, Stockholm-based label Buddha's Loungue have been releasing a number of EPs of such beauty, it has been difficult to ignore. Silvia Blaser plays an assortment of flutes and has a number of releases under her own name which have previously been featured on ambient hour. Her latest offering via Buddha's Lounge is another EP called 'Garden of Eden' in which she teams up with Brannan Lane. The mood of the track 'Murmurs in the Garden of Eden' is beatifully warm and mellow, highlighting lower register flutes and nature sounds. It's a wonderful piece from a fine EP. What a way to close this week's program. Until next time. Bye now.
