Restless murmurings
Running time - 60:43
This week's edition of ambient hour begins with a double feature of Melbourne-based musician Meredith Beardmore. The two tracks included: 'Lines Intersecting' and 'Loaf + Pan' are taken from her latest album entitled 'The Long Blue Horizon' which is series of musical reflections based on and influenced by the Tasman Peninsula in Tasmania, Australia. Both tracks feature haunting flutes and field recordings that create a highly evocative atmosphere. It's a fantastic release put out on the MADE NOW MUSIC label. Highly recommended. Also on the program, a new track entitled 'Endless Love' by LA-based theremin player and composer ALIA. The track has a nostalgic quality, even dream-like and that theremin is absolutley gorgeous to listen to. It is a teaser track from a forthcoming release entitled 'Where the Echoes Bloom' scheduled to drop on Jun 26 via Leaving Records. From Poland, kuusen aika has just released a beautifully mellow synth-driven piece entitled 'muisti'. The lines played are gentle, hypontic and coupled with warm, comforting delays. It's beautiful. Be sure sure to check out the other wonderful tracks included in this week's episode of ambient hour. Bye now.
